Brainy Dogs is a joint project
with Headway Ipswich and East Suffolk, Felixstowe Blue Cross
, and Hollesley Bay
Brainy dogs are Rescue dogs from Blue cross who
are trained by Prisoners at Hollesley Bay prison to be Companion
dogs to Headway clients and other people with a neurological
condition .
• Many people with a brain injury loose all their
friends
• A dog gives unconditional love
• Keeps them company
• Helps them to feel safe
• Gives them something to love
• A chance to pay back

To the prisoner Brainy dogs gives:
• A chance to prove they can do something worth while
• A chance to prove they can be reliable- turn
up on time, do as asked
• A chance to have the
dogs love
• A chance to love a dog

A second chance
How Can you help- volunteer boarders?

Will be needed to look after dogs over night.
